Why Should You Hire Me Over Any And All Other New Jersey DWI Lawyers?
I’ve handled over 1,000 DUI / DWI cases during my career (Experience is essential in having the best advocate for fighting your charges.);
I’ve been formally trained through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) to administer the Standardized Field Sobriety Tests (Tests such as: “follow my pen/flashlight with your eyes”, “walk 9 steps heel to toe, then turn around”, “stand on 1 leg for 30 seconds”) (The more I understand every detail of how these tests are conducted, the better I may defend you by finding errors in the police officer’s use of them against you.)
I’ve received training on breath testing machines, including the Alcotest 7110, Intoxilyzer 8000, Datamaster, and Breathalyzer 900/900A. (Knowing exactly how these machines function and malfunction, what physical problems people have that can muddy their test results, how these machines are supposed to be calibrated, and how police get certified to use them, gives me tremendous insight and ability to find even more ways to attack the prosecution’s case against you.)
Before starting my own DWI law firm, I worked for one of the top DWI defense firms in New Jersey. This firm represented the lead defendant in the landmark New Jersey DWI case that went to the Supreme Court, State v. Chun. During my time there, I received extensive DWI defense training and certifications in breath testing, blood testing and field sobriety testing.
I don’t just “adequately defend” your DWI case. I look for every single defense possible, and I don’t stop until I feel as if I’ve turned over every rock and looked into every crevice of the case. (It’s not enough to have “just enough” evidence to defend you – I want overkill. I want to find so many defenses to your case that the prosecution eventually ends up waiving the white flag of surrender. No, I can’t promise you anything, but I CAN promise you that I go to the mat for my clients. The term “zealous representation” is not just an empty phrase to me. It is the only way I practice law.)
I turn down many perfectly good cases presented to me to deliberately limit how many clients I have at one time. (Why would I do something crazy like this? If I don’t have enough time to seriously defend your case and know you on a personal level, I’m not going to be able to defend you as strongly as I want to. I’m not here to take your money and run. I’m here to defend you to the maximum extent possible. I need time to do that. Your case needs a lot of attention. I can’t give you that to you if I have too many clients at one time.)
I’m not the cheapest DWI lawyer in New Jersey. My fees are reasonable for everything that is provided with my services, but certainly not cheap. (If they were, I wouldn’t be able to devote much time and effort to your case. I’d have to take anyone that walks in the door, in order to get as many clients as possible.)
