Gloucester Township is a 24 square mile suburban community which is located in Camden County. Parts of Blackwood, Glendora, Erial, Sicklerville, Blenheim, Lambs Terrace, Chews Landing, and Hilltop are included in the Communities of Gloucester Township. The population of Gloucester Township is increasing day by day and it is on the top of the list of places with a high population rate; currently the population is around 70 thousand. Police, fire protection and all other health related services are provided there. Other than that, community development activities are also provided to the people living there.
Gloucester Township First Offense DWI
First New Jersey DWI offense with BAC of .08% but less than .10%: You’ll lose your New Jersey license for three months; pay a fine ranging from $250 to $400, mandatory 12 to 48 hour stay at an Intoxicated Driver Resource Center (IDRC) with related fees, and insurance surcharges of $1,000 a year for three years. You may also be required to spend up to 30 days in jail.
First New Jersey DWI offense with BAC of .10% or higher: You’ll lose your New Jersey license for seven months up to one year, face a $300 to $500 fine, have a mandatory IDRC stay of 12 to 48 hours with related fees and insurance surcharges of $1,000 a year for three years. You may also be required to spend up to 30 days in jail.
DWI for Drug
The penalties for Driving Under the Influence of drugs, including an illegal narcotic, hallucinogenic or prescription drugs are the same as for DWI, however the Court must prove by competent legal evidence through the testimony of a Drug Recognition Expert (DRE), not merely by proving the presence of drugs in your system. Department of Law
Legal advice is given to the Mayor and Council on all issues related to the Township business by the Township Attorney/Director of the Department of Law. All the legal documents, contracts, deeds, ordinances and resolutions are also approved by the director.
There is a division of the Prosecutor, the division of the Public Defender, the division of the Rent Stabilization Attorney within the Department of Law and under the supervision of the Municipal Attorney.
Mayor and Council hired the special counsel with the aim of supervision. Other technical personnel who are necessary to manage the functions of the Department of Law are also hired.
